What is a FlexVol?

A FlexVol is a fundamental component of NetApp's storage architecture, serving as a data container that is associated with a Storage Virtual Machine (SVM). It allows for the abstraction of storage resources, enabling flexible allocation and management of storage space. Each FlexVol can be sized independently of the underlying physical storage, which provides scalability and efficiency.
